Lena is 13 years old, who is clever, athletic and restless mother’s helper. Unfortunately, the disease slowly takes over her energy and happiness. She started her treatment in Dnipropetrovsk at the Regional Children’s Hospital at the department of planned surgeries. Soon the doctors established definitive diagnosis and at that point it became clear that further treatment should be continued at the National Cancer Institute in Kiev due to the lack of medical equipment and expertise at the local hospital.

The family only asked to assist in finding blood donors and her mother paid in full for the first course of chemotherapy and other expenses.
